A Hungarian prisoner of war threw this letter from a train going to the Soviet Union.
18th May 1945
I ask from God that these few lines that I write find my family in good health.
Love to all three of them and to all my relatives.
I thank God that I am in good health.
Your loving son Ernő
I ask whoever finds this letter, if possible, to write that we passed here, but do not know where we are going. |
