Processing of material collection

In spring 2005, following our advertised appeal in Hódmezővásárhely hundreds of items, and thousands of photos and documents arrived at the EMLÉKPONT (Point of Remembrance) office.

Thank you very much for your generosity.

Collection of material has however, not come to an end with the opening of the Emlékpont museum and educational center. We are still appealing for you to bring in items and family photographs which you think are characteristic of the time period between 1945 and 1990 and would like to be placed among the researchable material of the exhibition and be preserved in a worthy place.

Our colleagues will digitalise any photos, certificates and documents within a couple of minutes, thus meaning that the original copies remain with the owners.

Please visit us and tell us what your parents have told you about these times. Tell us how things changed, the direction in which your and your families’ lives took following 1945, and how you lived through it.
